Mamba martial arts had their first outing today and what a good job they all did. It started off with two hours of sparring which gave everyone a chance to get warmed up nicely before their actual bouts. Every single one of them did themselves, their parents and us proud. Cant wait for the next one.
Just one week to go for the first outing for the talented team of kickboxers from Mamba Martial Arts. Everyone has been training hard and looking very sharp. Lets get out there guys, have some fun and show people what Mamba has to offer.
Championship Kickboxing & White Collar Boxing Casion Rooms, Blue Boar Lane, Rochester, Kent ME1 1PD
Jack Purdy (Mamba Martial Arts) V Harry Hennon (TKO) in a 3 X 1 ½ min rounds, junior, light contact (with headguards warn). Weight 37 kilos.
Jack Purdy is one of the many talented young kickboxers who train under Mamba Martial arts. He often trains alongside his brother Tommy and those two don’t take prisoners – their little brother Joe is not far behind them either.
Jack has recently won the I.C.O. Southern area championships for his weight group in a very very close fight against his brother Tommy in Margate, Kent. Back in October Jack was in a fantastic semi-contact bout with a lad from TKO kickboxing academy called Harry Hennon, now the two lads are facing off again in Rochester, Kent on the 26th February 2012.
In their last meeting it was a full 3 rounds of non-stop action with both boys showing tremendous skill both kicking, punching and ringcraft. Jack is giving away weight to his older opponent but that does not phase him.
Last time the contest ended up being a draw as it was just too close to call, this time, well… come on Jack!
