Tonight we travelled just up the road to Trimley for a show put on by NDT’S boxing.
Charlie should have been having his first proper bout today but as we stood there waiting for the ring walk, we get told his opponent hadn’t even bothered to turn up.
Luckily Ben Poole asked one of his boxers to step in and have a skills bout with him which was very much appreciated.
Akko having his second bout was up against a heavier opponent but put on a great display and worked hard throughout. He showed some lovely footwork and head movement and landed some great shots but the decision went the other way in the end.
Reinis was last fight of the night and he was giving away a lot of weight in this heavyweight clash. He stuck to the game plan used his movement and threw plenty of variety. He dug deep and pushed himself right to the end scoring a knock down on his opponent in the last round and taking a well deserved win.
